Student VoiceThe role of the students in our community is vital if we are to maintain our strengths and continue developing our current school as a whole.
There is a range of opportunities for students to contribute to the wellbeing and development of the school at all stages of their career and support the leadership potential of the Year Groups. Students are encouraged to contribute formally and informally in a number of ways and through a variety of democratic structures. Student Leaders get involved in both the curricular and pastoral side of school life; taking on real responsibilities, getting involved in House events, Personal Development Days and developing part of the rewards system. Roles within Student Leadership Student Voice is an extremely important mechanism for the pupils at Kings International to communicate their ideas, initiatives, thoughts and opinions to other pupils, members of staff and the wider school community. A number of different bodies feed into the Student Senior Leadership Team (SSLT):
The SSLT represents the wider student body at Kings International College. Consequently, the students are in charge of leading Year council meetings and SSLT meetings. SSLT will continue to define expectations of students and staff alike, and develop strategies for making student voice feel respected and valued. |
