Jenny Tuck –Chair - Co-opted Governor - Link Governor for SEN & Safeguarding
I have been in education all my working life. I was a secondary school teacher and middle/senior manager for 26 years before moving into advisory work for Surrey County Council and then, more recently, for Reading Borough Council where I was senior SEN/Inclusion advisor. My passion is to ensure that children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities receive the best possible education that they can in order to improve their life chances. I have recently retired from full time working but continue to take a keen interest in education as a governor of two schools and as an associate consultant for a local authority. I am also a tutor for a very successful online tutoring service and in my spare time (there isn't too much of that) I look after my two grandchildren and enjoy walking, playing golf and going to the gym.
Charlotte Morley – Vice Chair of Governors - Link Governor for Looked after Children
I was elected to Surrey Heath Borough Council representing Watchetts Ward in May 2011. I have lived in Camberley for the last 15 years, 8 of those in Watchetts Ward. I am a Chartered Management Accountant and worked in the oil industry for 15 years, including a year living in Dubai. In my spare time I enjoy ice figure skating.
Philip Goddard – Parent Governor
I was born and lived in Frimley Green most of my life. I have two daughters, both are keen dancers. I have a great interest in the theatre and the arts, as my father worked at the Princes Hall Aldershot, and I saw and met many stars during the pantomime season. I then joined him there and was a stage electrician/technician for 13 years. I left there to become an electrician at Heathrow Airport. For the past seven years I have been working as a self-employed electrician but enjoy all the aspects of the construction industry.
Graham Rudd – Parent Governor
I have worked in the financial sector for 34 years, been a manager of a local boys’ football team that has included boys from Kings for the last 7 years and been a member of PTA’s from first school, through middle and now am part of Kings new PTA.
Gavin Price - Co-opted Governor
I have lived in Camberley all my life and attended France Hill School, as Kings was previously known. I am the Managing Director of Dolphin Head Group, a commercial property company based in Camberley. I am also the trustee of The Children With Special Needs Foundation, a local charity supporting individuals, groups and schools with their requests for equipment, holidays and tuition to enable essential care for children with special needs in Surrey, East Berkshire and North Hampshire. I believe my professional experience will allow me to be an effective Governor to drive what is best for Kings. In my spare time I enjoy cycling.
Beverley Harding - Partnership Governor
I was previously a Councillor for Surrey Heath and was also the mayor. Charity work has always been important to me and I have been supporting the Lisa May Foundation for many years. My other passion is classic cars.
Martin Sands - Local Authority Governor
I am a retired senior civil servant having spent my career in government service. I was subsequently director of a Service charity and have also been a governor of a boarding and day school in Suffolk.
David Barter – Partnership Governor
Committed to offering the best possible education opportunities to children of all abilities. Highly experienced School Governor, skilled chair, target focused, well developed leadership and presentation skills, able to work with and motivate teams.
Eamon Lally – Parent Governor
I have lived in Frimley with my family since 2007 and I have a child in Year 10. Education is the most important gift that we can bestow and I want to help the school to do that in the best way it can. In my job I work with Government, local authorities and a range of other organisations to try and ensure that the right policy choices are made and that the services and infrastructure we all depend on are fit for purpose. I bring a questioning, analytical and supportive approach to the role of parent governor and work in the best interests of the students.
Susan Belgrave – Parent Governor
I come from a family of teachers (my Mother, both Aunties and Uncle all held senior teaching positions), and therefore I think I naturally have an interest in how schools run and how we can create a positive learning experience for all the children who attend Kings.
In September, I will have two children in Kings, and therefore I am very interested in learning how the school operates and how we can work together to make it even better. I would like to give something back to the Community, and I would like to think that part of that commitment involves working with Kings, to share some of the experience I am lucky enough to have gained working for a large multi-national company for over 20 years.
I am very excited to work together with the teachers and the other governors.
