Personal Development Days

Personal Development Days enhance our core curriculum provision for all students at Kings International College. For 6 days during the academic year the usual timetable is suspended and each year group will undertake a different whole day experience designed to develop further their Personal Learning and Thinking Skills, literacy and numeracy skills and their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.

The PD Days provide an opportunity for students to immerse themselves in learning activities for a whole day and whilst covering essential areas of the Citizenship and PSHE curriculum, they also will be used to raise aspirations through enlightening experiences.
It is all of our responsibility as teachers and pastoral leaders to contribute towards planning and delivering this curriculum and these opportunities for our students. The days provide leadership opportunities to members of staff and the chance for departments and faculties to collaboratively plan and share best practice.

Personal Development Day dates for the academic year 2018-19;

1st October 2019
4th December 2019
6th February 2020
31st March 2020
10th July 2020
