At Kings International, we hope to equip students by introducing them to concepts, skills and thinking strategies that provides a way of viewing and making sense of the world. It is used to analyse and communicate information and ideas and to tackle a large range of practical tasks and real-life problems. We have a high expectation of all students so that they will recognise and achieve their full potential. We hope that students will develop their own skills in analysis, reasoning, creativity, collaboration, and self-belief so they can meet the mathematical problems they face with thoughtfulness and enthusiasm.
Students follow the Mastery teaching and learning approach where all pupils acquiring a deep, long-term, secure and adaptable understanding of the subject. Pupils are given time to think deeply, understand the concepts and develop their mathematical fluency rather than memorising just sets of procedures.
